Dr. Pen A1

The A1 (PKR 12,500) is the entry model: a simple, ergonomic pen with adjustable needle settings. It suits practitioners starting out with microneedling.

Dr. Pen A6

The A6 (PKR 16,000) adds a dual-battery system and works both wired and wireless, so a session does not stop when one battery runs low. It shares cartridges with the A1.

Dr. Pen A6S

The A6S (PKR 30,000) keeps the A6's dual batteries and wired or wireless use, and adds adjustable speed as well as needle depth, giving the operator finer control.

Dr. Pen M8

The M8 (PKR 18,500) is a cordless pen with adjustable needle depth and multiple speed settings. It uses its own M8 cartridges, which are not interchangeable with A6/A1 cartridges.

Dr. Pen A10

The A10 (PKR 17,500) is a cordless pen with adjustable needle depth and speed, a practical option between the A6 and the A6S.

Hydra Pen H3

The Hydra Pen H3 (PKR 25,000) is not a Dr. Pen, but clinics often compare it with them. It combines microneedling with direct delivery of a compatible solution from the cartridge during treatment.

Dr. Pen A6 vs M8: which should you buy?

This is the comparison we are asked about most. Choose the A6 if you want the flexibility of wired or wireless use with two batteries, and the lower cost per cartridge of the A6/A1 range. Choose the M8 if you prefer a cordless pen with more speed settings. Because the two use different cartridges, pick one system for your clinic so you only have to stock one type.

Cartridge guide: 1P, 12P, 36P and nano

Cartridges are sold in several needle configurations. As a general guide:

  • 1P: a single needle, used for small, targeted areas.
  • 12P and 36P: multi-needle cartridges for treating larger areas.
  • Nano: very fine, needle-free tips commonly used for superficial product-infusion protocols.

Every cartridge is sterile and meant for one client only: open a new cartridge for each client and never reuse one. Our cartridges are individually packaged for single-client use.

Depth, numbing and safe use

Dr. Pen devices let the operator set the needle depth, typically up to about 2.5 mm. The right depth and protocol for each area depend on training and the manufacturer's instructions. Clinics commonly apply a topical numbing product before microneedling; see our numbing creams. Many also pair microneedling with professional serums such as those in our mesotherapy and PDRN range.

Buying tips

  1. Choose one cartridge system (A6/A1 or M8) for the whole clinic to keep stock simple.
  2. Work out your cost per client: cartridge price plus any serum or numbing product used.
  3. Check battery arrangements: dual batteries or wired use avoid interruptions in long sessions.
  4. Buy from a supplier who stocks the matching cartridges and gives a warranty on the pen.
